Kate's growing up!

It's been over 3 months since the last post...it's time for an update!

Kate's been learning so much in the past 3 months.  She has so many words now and is really learning how to communicate exactly what it is she wants.  Her favorites?  "Outside", "I did it!" "Let's go!", "I'm free!" (she says this after she has her pajamas put on at night and she can stand up again).  Names are going pretty well with her - she knows most people she sees by name when we say it, and is even starting to call some people by their names.  William is her favorite name to chant, as she sees her cousin more often than other little people her age.  Of course, it comes out more like "Wilum", or "ummm"when she's in a hurry, but we know who she means.   There are still many times we turn to each other and ask what in the world we think she just said, but every day there's a new word in her vocab.

We've had some fun adventures this fall.  We took a day trip to the zoo in Binghamton, and Wes, Amber, William and Grammy Lovejoy came along.  Lots of fun animals to see, and enjoyable company.  It doesn't get any better than cousin William and Grammy along for the same trip!

On a blustery day on October we took another trip, this time to Iron Kettle pumpkin farm in Owego.  This time we brought along Amber, William and Grandma Roe.  All bundled up, the kids enjoyed a petting zoo, a fun barn (which was a bit odd, really), and a trip through a crazy corn maze.  After numerous dead ends, we finally found our way out and picked out a nice bag of apples to take home as a (short-lived) momento.

The adventures with a crazy 1 1/2 year old never end :)
